Tis the Season for Torah

August 10th, 2012

Today a customer called and asked, “Do you have any Jewish stuff?” Yep.

Summer seems to be the season for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. The most popular paper among 13-year-olds? Elephant dung paper from Mr. Ellie Pooh. Second most popular is Jute Paper. Those kids are just so darn eco conscious!

I met Vanessa at Unique LA in May 2011. She had designed her own wedding invitation and needed a printer.

Party with Papel Picado

March 16th, 2012

In the letterpress business I meet so many interesting and fun people (see previous post). Today I’m thinking of Jamie and Jabdiel.  This girl is not afraid to surf the Galapogos! And if you’re looking for a good wedding filmographer take a look at Joel Serrato’s work for Jamie and Jabdiel’s wedding last September. Invitation letterpress printed on handmade fair trade Jute paper with soy ink. Design by De Milo Design Studio & Letterpress.
