South Pasadena is turning 125 years old and the town will be celebrating all day long with activities during the day and the Art Crawl at night featuring local artists. Come to De Milo’s studio 5-9pm and letterpress a Happy Birthday card on marble paper using vintage wood type. Ambitious printers have the option of personalizing their cards by setting a name of their choice in lead type.

De Milo prints for free on December 17, you support the fair trade artisans by buying their handmade marbled paper. $30 for 20 cards/envelopes. $20 for 20 coasters. Immerse yourself in the world of ﬁne paper and vintage letterpress printing at De Milo Design’s fully equipped letterpress studio in South Pasadena. In this freeform do-it-yourself studio atmosphere both novice and advanced printers are provided with the equipment (and one-on-one instruction where needed) to complete a wide range of small to medium-sized projects.
